Is this a fake?

Giant TCR Frame

Not sure. Ask for the serial number and email that to Giant.

Here's their contact info:

MSN: rockbrosbike@hotmail.com
E-mail: rockbrosbike@gmail.com

Why don't you ask them?

Maybe some Asian market specific.

Pretty good looking fake if it is.

FWIW...I ordered a JackRoo jersey from rockbros' ebay store. I had never heard of JackRoo so wasn't too concerned about it being a knock-off and I liked how the jersey looked. After ordering, I did a search on JackRoo and discovered a U.S. company in California. I sent them an e-mail asking if the jersey I was buying was a knock-off. They replied that they were looking into the eBay store but that it appeared to be a legitimate dealer of JackRoo clothing.

I've also looked over the rockbros web site and was struck by the amount of Giant products they have there, including clothing, helmets and frames. I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as an aluminum TCR frame sold here in the U.S. but a few internet searches led me to believe that Giant has made an aluminum TCR for other markets.

By the way...I got my jersey and I'm pretty impressed with it. $50 including shipping and it has some nice features. I was conservative and ordered a 2XXL, which turns out to be just a bit too big but it's certainly wearable.

Thanks for the advice. If it's real, seems like a nice frame.

They still make Aluminum TCR's for the asian markets.
If you select one of the Giant Asian homepages and click through their offerings you will find them.
I'm not sure I'd pay that much for that frame though. You can probably find an ALU Giant Defy on sale somewhere, and my guess is it is probably the same frame with different paint and labels.

They have two frames so it looks like they're not a big distributor and maybe did a small buy so I'd give them 50% credit. If that's the picture of the actual frame you get then that's another 25%. Dealing with China is never 100% so it's a matter of how much risk you're willing to take. I've bought 3 tubular wheelsets and a TT frame from Dengfu all at pretty ridiculously low prices. They're not amazing but more than do the job and at the price I was willing to try it. GL if you get the frame. Seems like a good deal. Cheers

I'd say legit.

I've bought a bunch of cheap Giant stuff in HK (ok, I'm local). For some reason there is an easy supply of AL frames. I bought 3 matching Giant ATX rigid MTB frames for about US$110 each and they've built up to be great general purpose bikes for my rowing club (coaching bikes).

I'd be happy to check them out locally if you want (call some bike shop friends who'll probably know who these guys are).

The Aluminum TCR is still sold in Canada, UK, France, and Germany, among other markets.

I bought a giant talon mtnb frame from ebay located in china and its not fake so the tcr should be fine.
