How do you store your gloves?
After I wash them, I never dry mine because I'm afraid they would shrink and that would pinch my hands when I'm riding and slow me down.
So I can't store them in a drawer because they are wet. What do you do? Do you have three storage areas (one for wet gloves, one for dry, and one for dirty gloves?) Can you post some photos of your gloves in their dirty, wet, and dry stages? Also photos of where you store them? I just don't want to damage them. |
ffs!

You mean Lucy and Ricky? I keep them near my shoes, Fred and Ethel.

In that case you should store them in a bucket of water. That's where I'd keep mine if I never wanted them to dry.

As soon as I put my bike on the rack, I put one glove on each support bar to dry.
If they're nasty, I'll throw them in the wash with the rest of the cycling clothes. Hang them dry on the same bike rack. At least, that's how I do it when I'm home. When I'm out of town for a few days, I put them in the oven and leave it set for 180 degrees so they won't stiffen up while I'm gone. |
I'm supposed to wear gloves ?
P.S. Parody fad getting old. |
In the freezer, the cool gloves against my hands helps cool me down while I'm pushing out 400 watts...

I throw mine inside my helmet on the back seat of my Jeep. Look, I'm married. I have to basically justify every penny I spend on bike stuff. When my helmet gets to a certain point of funkiness, smell-wise, I don't have to ask permission to buy another one. It's like "throw that damn thing away and buy a new one". And the gloves get it there faster. :thumb:

I "put my gloves on my hoods" or use the wife's mesh drying rack in the laundry room. I think about all gloves should air dry. Mechanical dryers create too much heat and can ruin glue and fabric used in today's gloves, among other things.

Maybe even the best post in the entire forum all week. |

I asked this very same question today when OJ was over, he stated that the best place to store gloves is to not to store them. If they are leather you should under no circumstance leave them on the driveway. He also stated that leather gloves don't shrink after being soaked in fluids, that is a myth.

My Cycling gloves just get hung over the handle bar of the bike I just got off of. My Opera and evening gloves are in a drawer of my lingerie chest. my winter gloves are in a hatbox under the hatbox with my earmuffs but above my hatbox full of scarves. The box o latex exame gloves I use for working on bikes is under my bench. Oh I also have a an old pair of flyers (antistatic) gloves someone gave in in the compartment door of my van to pump gas.

Buy a better dryer. Use the "Delicate" setting.
