Help me choose a bottle cage for small frame
Hi everyone,
I've recently got me a shiny new bike. It's a size small and a compact geometry with quite a sloping top tube. It's a cheapy brand I took a risk on so I can't bring up an image.
Anyway I am having trouble fitting two bidon cages to it. There are holes for two and I can bolt two on but when I put the bidons in the bidon in the downtube can't fit it as it touches the cage on the seat tube.
Can anyone recommend a cage that will fit my 2 bidons in better?

Had to google "bidon"...now I'm good.
Small frames, especially compact frames, can create challenges for water bottles...sorry...bidons. A guy I ride with has to use a smaller 20 oz bottle...sorry...bidon, on his downtube.
One option is to look at side loading bidon cages. It gives you more flexibility with where the bidon ends up in relationship to everything else.
p.s. Where in Austin do you live?

I ride a 49cm Team Machine. I use one of these on the seat tube mount:

Go to the LBS and check out their cage selection because some hold the bottles higher than others. I think you can get an adapter that shifts the mounts too.

My wife rides a small frame with compact geometry; even the side loaders wouldn't fit some bottles. I found a cage that would work with the top mount bolted to the bottom frame boss, then tie wrapped the bottom hole of the cage.
