In search on new helmet on sale
Ok, now Im looking to get a new skull protector. I want one that is not bulky - it will be for road biking. Any outstanding deals out there - and how do I measure my mellon if I buy off the web. thanks

Having been tempted to buy a helmet over the web, then at the last minute deciding to try them on in a shop, I'm really glad I changed my mind. Some brands (Specialized in particular) really did not suit my head shape. I'm fairly pleased with my Giro Targa, large vents so coolish when pedalling at speed, comfortable fit, reasonably good looking and reasonably priced.

I personally like Louis Garneau Helmets my main helmet is a Le Mask, which is a road helmet with an in-mold shell. I also have an Alien, which has a visor and a taped shell. Both have the spiderlock retention system which is, IMO, the best out there, though the Le Mask has a slightly higher-end version.

thanks for the leads, took a look at the f-18 on Sierra and couldnt resist at 26 bucks. Went ahead and ordered that.

That Limar helmet looks different than almost anything that I have seen so far, is that where the style is heading or is the usually stylistic "liberty" that the Italians have taken?

I normally wear Bell helmets . This weekend I rode with this Limar , and it was very comfy ! Light , feels good on the melon .:thumbup:
