Cannondale R300
Hi, everyone. I am completely new to cycling and it seems like everyone is almost speaking a new language. I recently developed tendonitis in my foot from overuse (marathon training), and need to mix up my exercise. Cue the bike and possible triathalon training.
I went in to my local bike shop to get some info about used/new bikes, etc. They had a used Cannondale R300 in great condition, frame size 52cm (I'm 5'7) for $300. Because I'm new and I'm just testing things out, I don't want to commit to anything more than this. Is this a good deal? Thanks for any help! |

Since it is coming from a bike shop, the mechanical aspect should be fine, so look at the cosmetics and fit. If both passes, then go for it. |
Do it. Cannondale R300 is a great starter bike...

My wife's first serious road bike was an R300. She rode the crap out of that bike for 10 years. Sold it on eBay for slightly over $200 iirc, but she was a motivated seller, so I would think $300 is still perfectly reasonable. |
