Wheel upgrade advice

I'm currently running Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels and want to upgrade. I have been looking at Mavic cosmic or krysium. Does anyone have advice on these or other similar priced wheels??

I wasn't aware that a kysrium was an upgrade from a Fulcrum...I suppose it has to do with what level wheel you choose. My understanding of better carbon wheels (if that is what you are looking at in the Cosmic) is to look at Zipps or the new Easton Fire-something, can't think of the name right now, I am sure someone will chime in.

Zipp wheels have the firecrest models. They are nowhere near the price range he is looking in. Also Easton rims aren't getting the most positive reviews. SOme hub issues and some spoke issues.

For the price range the OP is looking I would look at the Boyd Vitesse, November FSW, Williams 30, etc. If he wants aero carbon rims then all the companies listed above have good options there as well.

My standard answer at this price is always Shimano RS-80s from Excel. I did a lot of looking, ended up buying these, and love them. Incredible price to weight ratio, solid as hell, relatively light, pretty damn cool.

Yup, don't know where the Easton came from...I was trying to think of the firecrest. Thanks

I am running Ksyrium SL SSC's right now and love them. Maybe not the most aero rim but the radial lacing and bladed spokes make up for that. I highly recomend them.

Don't.

Even if you spent a bunch of money on new wheels it wouldn't make you much if at all faster.
