Ride Across Florida April 1, 2012. You in??

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just wondering if there is anyone here that is doing this ride tomorrow. 170 miles coast to coast. Just checked the weather and I see there is going to be a constant 5-10 MPH headwind the entire time! Fantastic. God knows the distance is not of a challenge for most of us slow and fat people.:not amused:

Do you have a link with the info? I'm not in any kind of shape to make that ride this year and I have a cold that has sapped all of my energy for the last three days. I would love to make the ride next year however.

Here are 2 links.

The one above is a silly/funny video I made to give me some peer pressure not to puzzy out of it. The one below is the one for the info on the ride. This year is the 31st edition.
Ride Info.

I'm going to try next year. I'm not in anywhere near the shape I need to be this time around. I'm gonna try and hit some of the easy freewheelers rides on saturdays one of these days though. Get to know some of the wheels I'll be sucking across the state next year.
