Looking at getting a new road bike for climbing
Hello, I'm new to the forum and looking to buy a new road bike. When I moved to Grenoble last August I saw the mountains and pretty much immediately went out and bought a used road bike to see if I liked climbing. I picked up a Vitus 992 for 230€ and took it on a few 120-150km rides into the Alps (Col de la Croix de Fer and Alpe d'Huez)... Turns out I loved it.
Now since I'll be in Grenoble for the summer as well I'm thinking of upgrading to something a little lighter. I'd say that my budget is about 1000€ and that I'd like to keep resale value in mind because I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to bring the bike back to Canada with me later. I've read a bunch of threads (from the sticky) on this forum to get a feel for what to look for in a bike but I still feel like a bit of a noob when it comes to actually picking one.
When I saw the Vitus it looked in decent condition, wasn't too expensive and felt fine when I rode it around the parking lot so I bought it. I didn't have any discomfort on a 6.5 hour ride with 3500m (11,500 ft) of climbing. So I'm thinking of taking a similar approach to the next bike, does that sound like a decent game plan? I'm a bit worried that I just lucked out on fit last time.
I've been browsing the classifieds here and am looking at a few bikes that I would consider buying. I'd appreciate it if someone more experienced might be able to let me know if any of these ads screams "ripoff" or "wow that seller is a fool and that's an insane deal". Right now I'm leaning towards one of the first three but if spending another 300€ to go with something better would greatly improve performance and resale value then I'd think about it.
(For reference 600€ is $800 and 1000€ is $1300, and I don't think any of these prices are fixed)
700€ Massi M-Carbon w/Ultegra group
600€ LOOK KG 451 carbon w/105 group
850€ Scott CR1 Team w/105 group
620€ EXS carbon w/Campy Centaur group
975€ Scott CR1 Team w/105 group
980€ Scott Speedster w/ "900 wheels€"
990€ Fuji CCR1 w/105 group
1000€ Cube Agree GTC w/Ultegra group
1050€ Specialized Roubaix w/105 group

The Massi looks good value at €700. I bought one recently in the UK. The dealer had it reduced from £1600 to £1000. That has a mix of Campagnolo Xenon, Veloce & Mirage components on it along with Campagnolo Khamsin wheels. Great ride. Stiff frame. Compact chain set or better legs would help with my climbing though!

someone had posted a climbing bike build here. I can't seem to find the thread now.
I believe it was a Black Scott frame with a single at the front and a 12-32 on the rear.
Just do a build
