garmin edge 500 altimeter?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

garmin edge 500 altimeter?

Can you have it on the same screen as the speed, distance traveled?

Also i have a 0 degree rise stem but it's still slanted a little upward bec of the frame. Is this gonna be a big deal? I don't wanna put it on the handlebar if i get it.

Thanks.

Yes, you can have pretty much anything you want on the screen. You can customize 3 screens to have a ton of info. When you go beyond 5 things on a screen, though, it becomes a bit hard to read. My stems are -17 and I have no issue with seeing the Garmin.

Go to garmin.com and download the user manual. I bought mine on ebay: gps-r-us in AU was the cheapest in 2009. No problems with shipping to the US. You can get a handy mount that will allow you to put the garmin in front of you stem (over the front tire, essentially).

I believe you can have as many as 8 different "measurements" on a screen at one time. Tried it and it didn't work out so well but for someone who wants to know a lot of information for no good reason such as myself the screens are very easily customizable. I have 6 right now (time, speed, distance, cadence, HR, % elevation) and i can read it i just had to get used to where to look for certain things.
