I have the Performance basic one on my road bike, but the Crank Brothers big one on my mountain bike. I also have the Park Tool minimalist tool, but I have not carried it in a long time.

One thing though; I have been riding for a long time, and I have never ever broke a chain. And this is why I don't carry a multi-tool with a chainbreaker on my road bike. And I have been using chains with KMC missing links for a long time.

Is chain breaking really a "present" issue for roadies? I mean, I can see with mountain bikers, due to the uneveness of terrain, but roadies?

On my touring bike, I carry either the crank bros 19 or the topeak tool pictured on this thread. I had to use the chain breaker to fix someone elses bike on the side of the road.
On the fast bike, I carry the park thin tool. I find it adequate for small things.

Correct (I'd use the baggie even if there was no tool). Tool rests flat against the side of the wedge pack, tube in ziplock baggie is along the side of that. I've been doing this for years and never damaged a tube in my pack.

This.

The only thing you compromise is chain break ability, but this is hardly used and the ones in a multi-tool are crap anyway.

Beg to differ. The one on my Nashbar 11 ($9.99) has saved me twice and is not in danger breaking anytime soon.
