Early on, it used to be that as shimano cleats wore out, it became HARDER to release. Has that changed over the years?
I haven't noticed that personally. My really old pair of shimanos , big klunky ones, are really easy to get in and out of, as I imagine the contact points have really worn away. They don't release when I don't want them to, but to be fair, I'm a slight guy and the bike they are on I don't sprint like crazy on (my old mtn bike used as a commuter etc)
