Worth upgrading to Look Keo Classic from Look Keo Plus?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Worth upgrading to Look Keo Classic from Look Keo Plus?

I have a pair of Look Keo Plus pedals I use but Westernbikeworks has the Classics as their daily deal for $59.

I was planning on upgrading to the Keo 2 Max later this year anyway. Should I hold out for those or just pick up the Classics?

I'd wait, but that's just me. I like the high tension settings of the Max's.

What's the difference other than like 10-20g? (between classic and plus)

I see that the Keo 2 Max have a metal plate and adjustable tension, but are also approx. the same weight?

I've had the Keo Plus for a while so I've been meaning to upgrade anyway.

No other reason.

If you're happy with the Plus, save your money or upgrade elsewhere. I've the Max 2 Carbon, and while nice, the law of diminishing returns is evident.

What is this "upgrade" going to do for you? Upgrade implies that the new item is going to do something that the old item didn't...or perhaps just a visual upgrade. Not sure the Classic or Max is going to do anything your current pedals don't. If you are not unhappy with current pedals, save your money. Personally, I am not happy with my Classics (difficult to clip in for me), and am looking to get some Speedplays.

Unless you have a second bike as a destination for the old pedals, save your money.
