Swisstop Flash or Dura-Ace pads?
So I'm currently riding Dura-Ace pads, but with buying new wheels I'm pondering whether I should change my pads. I have a set of Swisstop Flash (black) pads but I'm not sure whether I should just wait for the Dura-Ace pads to wear out, or just toss them and put the Swisstops on immediately.
I've once had an issue where I had to dig out aluminium shards from the Dura-Ace pads; is this a generic issue, or will the Swisstops be better in this regard?

I'll recommend the SwissStop Flash (Black) pads. I have been using them on all my aluminum wheelsets for a while now. They are kinda expensive (relatively), but I always source at good prices from eBay.
Why I like them? Great stopping power and good compound, in that I have never dug a speck of aluminum off my pads since I started using them. I can't say that bout Dura-Ace pads, which I was using b/4. I've also heard good things about KoolStop pads, but I have zero experience using them.
As to whether you should toss your Dura-Ace for the SwissStop, well, only you can really make that determination.

Unless you're getting carbon rims that need a specific pad, stick with the DA til they wear out. You won't gain much switching them out.
When it's metal shards vs. rubber, the metal will win most of the time.

Swisstops are the best. But why not just replace the DA pads when they wear out?

I guess my concern is that the DA pads will be ripping aluminium shards off my new rims then will rip my braking surface up. Thanks for the advice!
