ZIPP ity do dah . . . (how much should I offer to pay?)

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

A friend of mine loaned me his Zipp 303s. He mentioned that he might be willing to sell them to me, but no price was discussed. If the price was right, Id buy them, just for the fun of it.

They seem to be in decent shape, given that theyre at least a few years old. The deal would come with a used dura ace 12\27 cassette and used tires.

1 case of beer seems like a lowball offer. I would be safe and offer at least 2 cases.

Look at eBay and CL but be aware there are three different models - the oldest are "non-dimpled", next are ones with "dimples" that have a golf ball surface, and the newest are the "Firecrest" model which go for $2700 new.

from the pic, these appear to be the older non-dimpled 303's. I'd offer $350-$400 is they've never been wrecked and are in good shape. I'm not considering the cassette or tires, as I couldn't use the cassette and I'd replace the tires.

Yeah. My comment was meant more for the OP when he looked at pricing

There's more than just dimpled and non dimpled. There are dimpled, the torroidal shape (also dimpled), and now firecrest in addition to a couple generations of non-dimpled and even v-shaped zipps.

I don't know about the torrodial, firecrest or v shape, but it does look dimpled, like a golf ball.

FWIW, I just sold a set of 8 year old non dimpled 404's on ebay with tires, tubes cassette and skewers for $620.

I thought that was a rather high actually.
