You are right... atlanta is horrid. I lived there until i was 16 and the traffic is abysmal, the summers rival those in hell, the people suck, I could go on and on....

I suppose some places around the outskirts are rideable, but by no stretch is it a destination.

Good thing I'm not a pothead like I used to be in the 70's.... Otherwise, I'd make my home up there... :p

I moved to Atlanta from Orlando in May 1992. That first summer everyone here was complaining about the humidity. I thought they were crazy. If you want humidity, go to central FL in the summer. It's so bad you can hardly breathe.

Boone North Carolina is pretty nice. There are plenty of nice roads to ride on but all of the people can't drive worth a damn and drunks are everywhere. Crested Butte Colorado is awsome, everyone in town bikes and there is great mountain biking right at the edge (I do mean the edge) of town.
