Custom Tsunami Build #2
The frame arrived today: custom geometry with an integrated seatmast, a chainstay Di2 battery mount, and a flat black/red paint job (which came out looking great):

Pictures for the rest of the build to follow.

After that whole debate, I still couldn't make up my mind so at first I thought about defaulting to matte black. But in the end I wanted some red too, so this is what it ended up being. With that said, having seen the "matte" red finish Joe (the builder) put together, I probably should have gone with it all around (looks even better in person). Maybe next time.

I'll offer the answer. Tsunami Bikes / Joseph Wells does his frames in aluminum. I've seen some carbon stays but it's mainly aluminum.

I hadn't even thought about the whole UGA thing until you guys brought it up... It has been a while since I graduated, so the hatred must have tinkered down a bit

So I finally got a chance to build the frame up. I ended up going with SRAM Rival shifters / rear derailleur, a Dura Ace front derailleur, a SRAM Force crankset and TRP 920 brakes for the time being instead of Di2. I am going to ride it like this for a while before committing to electronic shifting. The fork is a Whiskey Parts Co. No. 7 with the matte finish. I visited their booth at the NAHBS 2012 and liked what I saw, so I decided to give them a shot. I also haven't had a chance to glue up the tires onto my Dura Ace C50 tubular wheels; hoping to do that some time next week.
I have had a chance to ride the bike a little both on the flats and in the hills, and it performs well. Stiffness is good, no chain run or anything when out of the saddle. The ride is very similar to my other Tsunami with a conventional seatpost, so it doesn't seem the ISP added any appreciable harshness. I expect the tubular tires will make it ride even better. I also gave the Yokozuna Reaction cables / housing a shot on this build, and the shifting and braking are both very crisp.
Without further do, here are a couple quick shots:

I can't see the pics here but they sound awesome. I miss my Tsunami dearly. Maybe someday they will find the asshat that stole it. Enjoy your new ride!

Thanks for the compliments.
Here is a picture of the finished build (well, for now at least) with a second bottle cage, a Specialized Romin Evo saddle in place of the regular Romin, and my favorite wheelset -- Ambrosio Nemesis and DA hubs:

Nice build. Now slap that battery back on and use it to power up the stereo!
