Actually that starts about now.

I lost 5lbs of water weight on today's ride. My body absorbed 2lbs of it back, in the shower. It's pretty hot here today.

patentcad 05-28-12 11:42 AM

It was hot out there today. 85º by the time I got back, and humid.

Soloist Assassin 05-28-12 11:56 AM

It's 90 here now. Glad I got a ride in early. Might go out around 8pm for another ride after it cools down a bit.

Check this out, a very poor fake of a S3 on ebay. It's pulling descent cash too. Someone is about to get screwed.

I am sufficiently happy with my Cervelo bikes that when new bike time rolls around I'll look at their offerings first. But that's a couple of years away for sure.

MTB racing

Guy I rode with today ran 20 miles yesterday--basically just for the heck of it.

He might need help.

Me too, but I just came across this beauty. 13.8lbs for a TT rig with Di2.

Just got home from a good ride then went to a buddy's house for a couple of beers and hot dogs. About half the ride took place in SA's state.

I'm surprised there wasn't more elevation change than that. It gets pretty hilly down in the southeast portion of the state.

Soloist Assassin 05-28-12 12:52 PM

In any event good job beating your friends, and taking the KOM.

There were a couple of riders from Florida so we did a flat route. Just about all the climbing was in the last mile. The temperature did make it a little more difficult than it should have been though.

Thanks, the guy in second is a pretty strong cat 3. With that said, he raced a 58 mile race with over 7,000 feet of climbing on Saturday so he was still feeling it a bit.

I prefer to find shaded roads when it is hot like this, which usually also means hills. It is to my understanding people from Florida are allergic to those, so I understand.

Way to seize the opportunity to put in some work on him.

Posting this here. Copied it from the "Hot r Not" thread. Possibly the hottest bike on BF in my opinion. Di2 done right too. Hidden battery, THM M3 cranks, LW wheels with stealth logos, it just doesn't get much better than this.

Just finished watching the us championship...amazing fun! Duggan went beast mode!

patentcad 05-28-12 04:42 PM

To translate this into 41 Fredspeak, that race Saturday had an average speed of 26.8 mph, so it was not slow.

The seat post battery raises the center of gravity better to mount down low.

It is mounted low, it's on the down tube behind the chain rings.

That murdered-out look is reminiscent of rattle-can paintjobs on would-be hotrod Honda Civics.

I don't care for it

Lowcel: I estimate the odds of two bike weenies owning Lexus CT cars on BF @ 1 in 10,000. Now factor in that one is actually from WV, and the odds rise to 1 in 1,000,000,000.

Every once in a while I make a smart decision. I'm thinking the CT has that covered for me for the rest of the year.

The car magazines aren't so crazy about the CT. The customers LOVE the car. Lexus cares about the latter. The former is white noise.

Loving my CT after 9 months. Great car for my needs. Killer looks, fun to drive, room for my stuff, reasonably luxurious and 40 mpg. Too slow? Perhaps. I'd rather drive a car that strains a bit @ 85 mph but still goes that fast while getting 38-40 mpg. At speeds below 60 mph the car rarely lacks sufficient power. A good buy for me @ $31K.
