Right knee is good lately, Synvisc shots in January have worked their magic . . . and I'm off blood thinning meds with no clots after a month. So I'm as recovered as I'm going to get from the DVT a year ago.

I started riding the bike a week out of the hospital in mid June of last year. 10K miles since then.

You mentioned at some point you were scared you were done riding. Sounds like things have improved substantially.
My team mate rolls up to me on the Nyack ride a few weeks back and says 'I see you have your grandmother's sock on'. I told him my grandma (God rest her beautiful soul) would never have been caught dead in a sock like that, I told him that's pure Pcad, and anybody who doesn't like it can bite me and get off my lawn. |
Final month total: 948 km.
Huzzah! Maybe 1000 km in June. I have the first two weeks off (we have to remodel a bathroom) so I can sneak out each day for a quick 70 km. DG |
