Aegis Aro Svelte
I went into a not so LBS today, originally to check out the SE Premium Brew (bikeisland, $400). I'd need to invest $100 on paint (before you say this is stupid, look up the bike) $40 on a saddle, the handlebars would probably need a changing. Grand total coming to $550 approximately.
As I walk in, I see a very large carbon fiber bike out the front. I ride about a 60", so I went in for a closer look. Carbon fiber frame, fork, seatpost, even handlebars, nice Italian saddle, groupo was dura-ace/ultegra (Ultegra STI brifters and brakes, everything else Dura-Ace), Ksyrium rims and gator skins. I look at the price tag, $900.
Anyway, long story short I swindled them down to $550 and took it. Replaced the tape, saddle (the original was just too racy and small), and pedals (original were cheapies just thrown on for me to test it out). After everything it weighs just under 20lbs (think of the gator skins and pedals). Downside is Although it looks in great condition, I think it's a 2002~. It's black (carbon fiber) with blue text white outlined aegis and aro svelte.
Good deal or wtf bro?

If it's in good shape and fits, ride it like you stole it.

Descends like a rock
Assuming its new, I would say that's one heck of a deal. You could probably part it out on ebay for more even if you ended up hating the bike.
EDIT: nevermind, just googled the model and see that it couldnt be new.

Ageis was a carbon pioneer brand that's out of business now. They never got around to carbon dropouts, tapered head tubes, or press-fit bottom brackets, but they're still a nice bike.
