what to do with new saddle?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

what to do with new saddle?

so I recently upgraded bikes when I went from an old Tommasso Imola to a 2012 Tarmac Apex. The Tarmac came with the Romin expert saddle which I already have. My saddle is just about broken in so I dont want to swap it out for the new one. Should I keep it or look to sell it?

I would like to buy another set of bibs so a little cash wouldnt hurt. What do you guys do with your saddles when you buy new bikes?

Pay a few bucks to sponsor the board and list it in the Marketplace.

Keep it. Saddles don't last forever. You will eventually need to replace it. Might as well hang onto it since you have it on hand.

I've got them displayed in my shed like artwork. They're mostly too something. Too hard, soft, narrow name it it's there.

Keep it. It's rare to get a new bike with the saddle you like already on it. You'll swap em eventually.

Sorry to derail the thread...

but...

@Muffin Man, I just bought a Selle SMP saddle to replace my Romin Pro Carbon in white (130). I'd like to give the Selle a couple days to make sure it's right for me, and might be willing to sell/trade the Romin if you'd be interested. Shoot me a PM if so and I'll keep in touch.

@OP, there's always Craigslist or local bike swaps... See if someone in your local area might be interested in it.

Craigslist, Ebay. If it's brand new off the bike, you get probably get $80 or so for it if it's the titanium rail version. I've had great luck getting rid of saddles on eBay. In this case though, since you KNOW it's a saddle that fits you, you might consider keeping it, eventually you'll either get another bike or get rid of the old saddle and having a replacement is always good. I've mostly gotten rid of the saddle I didn't like

I toss it in my parts bin and eventually use it or trade it for something I do need.
