Aerobars going 10mph?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I get a kick out of cruising past them sitting as tall in the saddle as possible.

I hope that you get that he's out there "all the time". If he keeps it up he won't be 250 pounds or be going 10mph (if either of these are his goals).

That's just a case of to much disposable income.

I almost got hit by a guy struggling up a short incline at probably 10mph (a decent rider would do the section at at least 15mph, since it's an easy grade) but he was determined to stay in the aero position. He was so focused on his front wheel that he crossed way over into my side of the MUP and had so little apparent contol of his bike it was ridiculous. If people want to use aero bars, whatevs, but I get the sense that many who use them don't have the proper bike control and really shouldn't.

Yeah, stuff like that isn't exclusive to aerobars, I had the same thing happen to me today by a guy on the hoods.

And if you don't believe the women love Al-Sultan then how about Andy Potts vs. Andy Schleck.

I was riding a recreational bike trail and passed up a mom walking and her little girl on a bike and I clocked the girl at 11 mph spinning at like 75RPM cadence. That's faster than half the people in town ride. Maybe 4 years old. To each their own though. Too much emphasis on making fun of the way other people live their lives. They wanna ride it at 30RPM or whatnot, I'll notice but don't actively think negative or bad thoughts about it.

I saw a guy the the other day in full aero gear, the bike, the helmet a disc back wheel , the full on real deal and i could hear his dry chain from across the road in traffic.
Maybe this was a training ploy and for the race he will pull out his secret weapon chain lube.

I use them for getting a back stretch; and not when riding next to others or through traffic. I'd lean on the bars the way TDF's do it, but I'm not flexible and coordinated enough to pull that off.

Haters.

I'm wondering the same thing, but even more important what is he wearing? I know the cyclist is Michael Rasmussen.
