Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mystery Frame - What Is it?

Hi All,

Thinking about buying this third-hand used road frame but the current owner doesn't know the brand or model. Can anyone out there identify this frame? I haven't personally inspected the frame and am only going by his pic. Note the integrated seat post and rear wheel fairing. If anything else, I'm just curious.

Thanks,
RR

Definitely a Traithlon or Time Trial type frame, by the short wheelbase, aero downtube and integrated seatpost...most likely, China or Taiwan-made. I'd PASS. Looks heavy...

Looks similar to some Leader frames. Hard to tell without more photos. Unless it's very inexpensive I'd probably pass as well.

Can you look at the bike and check the head tube...there seems to be some sort of writing there that ends in "LLA" and there is a picture of a woman on the seat stay. Are those put on by the owner or from the manufacturer?

I was wondering about that same frame too.
Saw it on PB, & noticed it was local. The asking price seems affordable.
I didn't contact the seller, you should see it in person, & try to decide it its worth the asking price.
Also inspect it for any damage, I wanted that GT frame that was up, but didn't act fats enough.
Always loved that triple triangle frame, & thought it'd be a nice retro build.
I have too many project going on anyways...

+1 looks very similar to a leader 735. Pretty sure those bikes all have horizontal dropouts though.

I'm pretty sure the stickers weren't stock. I'll check it out, maybe glean some info from the serial numbers or otherwise. Good guess on the Leader, though...I was also thinking maybe a Tsunami as they do aero frames in aluminum.

I'll post if I figure it out.
