Slice Ultra Si Fork
Does anyone know if the Cannondale Slice Ultra Si fork found on the 04 Cannondale R2000 among others is full carbon?

I have one on my r1000 and I believe it is carbon legs with an AL steerer.

Any problems with full carbon forks btw? What about carbon drop-outs? (err......I mean the part that comes in contact with the front axle)

I believe that many carbon forks have AL dropouts bonded to the carbon legs. Maybe some of the high end forks are full carbon but I really do not know, I would think they would get easily damaged from the clamping force of the QR. Anyone else know?

Just looking at their website the LOOK HSC 5 SL looks like it has full carbon dropouts.
Maybe it's just a weight weenie thing. Anything to shave off that 1/100 of a gram right?

On my Cannondale Six13, I have a full carbon fiber fork, ie legs, steerers, drop outs. The clearcoat where my front hubs contacts has been removed. This is very normal, if the carbon fiber shows any cracks, the CF structural integrity has been compromised and needs to replaced.
