trying to quit smoking while riding, need help.

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sounds like you need to HTFU and go ride in the Front Yard!

I hear ya RX. I was planning to try riding with RMCC up to Horsetooth on Sunday but no thanks. I'll roll somewhere else with or without the group. Such a bummer for all. The heart has to go out to those folks...

Yea, I'm not a real big fan of the haze it is leaving over Colorado Springs either.

Serious question...
I'm not familiar with huge fires like this. Is this just a "routine" summer wildfire, or is it something else?

We get the exact opposite down here.....hurricanes. Well, actually, ice storms would probably be the exact opposite, but whatever. I don't think I'd like the fires at all.

Funny this was posted today. Right away it made me think of todays ride where I saw a dump truck full of some sort of straw (it looked like that anyway) that was on the side of the road burning to the ground!
Very weird rounding a corner and seeing a huge truck with 30ft flames shooting from it! Driver was out of the truck on the phone screaming so I figured he had done all that could be done already and I continued on my way.

You guys out by those forest fires... stay safe and don't inhale too much of that if you can help it!

I would not call this "routine". It's already burned about half of the amount of the Hayman Fire and is only 10 to 15% contained. This is one BIG fire.

Actually with the number of illegal pot grows in the woods in Nor Cal, maybe you would want to inhale.

"they say" lightening started this one but 6 different mountains were burning by nightfall. a few days ago we had pea soup fog. most time time the smoke shoots straight up 30,000ish feet then heads east (looks like a volcano). such a bummer Rist canyon is changed . . .oh well.
my second gripe is all the wildlife that is hanging around the MUP and even residential streets. mooses and elk get the rightoway BTW.

edit;looks like it might be raining on the fire.
