Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2012 Bontrager RL vs 2011 RXL

After 3 months with my Mavic Pro shoes I've decided to look for something a little wider. Before the Mavics I was using Shimano R085 entry level shoes, width wise the felt great but I wanted to upgrade to something stiffer and more comfortable. My current options are as follows....

2012 Bontrager RL: $179
These are at my LBS so I like the fact I can try them on which is important and return within 30 days for an exchange.

2011 Bontrager RXL: $149
These are online but a step up and cheaper.

Both are around what I want to spend. Has anyone tried either one of these, any opinions or other options? Thanks in advance!!!

I have the 2011 RXLs. Great shoes, a significant upgrade over the RLs.
