I ended up putting the spacers back below the stem lol, BF scared me! Plus I don't want to mess with the handlebar height right now as I've been having some pretty damn bad arm pain (left arm only) for a couple of weeks now. Oddly, you'd think it'd be related to the new bike, but it started a week or so before I bought it...

I would assume that the fitting comes free with the purchase of a new bike.
As for things to buy, definitely get a nice saddle. But I'd only replace it if you aren't happy with the stock one.
If you think you will actually use the trainer, and not have it just languish in the closet, then I would suggest a trainer.
+1 for tools if you want to do your own maintenance. If you don't want an expensive toolset and/or just want to stick with light maintenance, you can get a LOT of use out of the Topeak Alien II multitool.
I'd spend whatever leftover money (if any) on tubes and nutrition.

for all other routine maintenance, stands are nice but hardly a must-have. if the dude only has 1 pair of shorts that is the highest priority.

I have been wearing my wool base layer all summer including one day when it was 102 degrees. Was 90 yesterday and on descents I actually felt chilled. I did leave it home one day and the bibs/jersey felt kind of clammy so I haven't tried again. I never used to wear a base layer, but after I started I don't think I'll stop. It's comfortable for one and "feels" cooler.

yeah you got their pro fit. They give a window of 2 hours to do the full fitting. You may want to take a few days off from riding to let your arm heal a bit.

If not tools or accessories (cycling computer, frame pump, saddlebag, etc.) or clothes (bibs, gloves, socks, etc.), I'd use the money to buy "expendables" - things like tubes, tires, tire levers, patches, water bottles, spare set of cleats, even a spare floor pump. That s*it will nickle and dime you all day long...

Also if you're that skinny, I hope you're wearing size small. It doesn't really matter how long the legs are in your case.

Not a bad idea, but then how will I ever transition to bibs?! And yes, size small Cannondale Classic Shorts (only pair I tried on that fit my skinny legs when I first tried to buy shorts).

there really isnt a transition to bibs. You just have to make the jump and buy a pair! With all the new stuff coming out you should be able to get last years pair for pretty cheap. I have skinny legs as well and the smalls in CAPO fit me fine. However your a lot taller than me so most bibs in a small will run short on you.

forget all about bibs with your proportions. you aren't going to get something that fits you in the straps and legs at the same time.
