The Yellow Jacket Squad.

Iron Hill Brewery is one of the things I miss about living in the Delaware Valley.

Getting stung on a bike ride was how I found out I was allergic to bee toxin. Ended up in the ER with full anaphylaxis. Now I ride with an epi-pen and a Road ID.

Yeah they are the title sponsor for our club and they also sponsor the crit in West Chester...and the beer is not bad...although some folks prefer Victory to Iron Hill.

You wanna come back?

I don't miss it enough to move back. The Pig Iron Porter is my favorite on their menu.

There are a couple of micro-brew pubs here that I have to check out.

I wouldn't really compare Victory and Iron Hill, one is an actual brewery, the other is an uppity PJ Whelihans clone + above average onsite brewing.

Could have been, this was a few years back now. All I know is that I've never been stung by something that hurt that much for so long. Evil bugs...

I can relate. Some unknown stinger nailed me on the front of my neck while descending a fast hill on the 4th of July. MAN! I don't remember how the sting site becomes so itchy in the several days after.
I also got nailed by some stinging insect on the 4th of July. The bugger got lodged under my helmet strap and stung the s**t out of me until I was able to pull over and rip my helmet off. Then, I compounded the problem by finishing my ride instead of heading home right away and putting ice on the bite site. I ended up develping a golf ball-sized welt to the right and slightly below my right eye. Eventually the swelling spread laterally under my eye so that I looked like a prize fighter who lost a tough 13-rounder. Fortunately, it did not really hurt--the stretched skin from the swelling just felt weird. The swelling slowly went down over two days and I recovered with no issues.
