Thoughts on Adamo saddle for those with "nerve/flow" issues
 

I'm currently riding a Forte split rail saddle - came with my bike. It's "okay." But I am still finding that I get pretty numb after 25 min. Bugs me the rest of the ride. I've tries other saddles, like the Selle San Marcos and the gap is good but the rigidity tore me up in the gooch. I've been looking at the Adamo, but just on the shelf. It's a pretty price tag for something that might be a bust. I see them on a lot of TT bikes, so they must popular. For those who ride them, are they as helpful as they appear to be for "blood flow?" Are they comfortable (enough) when you're tucked and on the end of the seat?

Got a used one you want to sell? :o) Pretty serious. Hard to come by used. Would like to try one before I shell out $150+ for a new one.

I can't speak about Adamo saddles, but I have used the Selle SMP since April and they are the best saddle ever (for me). Hope you find your dream saddle soon.

I just bought my second ISM Adamo saddle. It's the Typhoon, which is their least expensive model. You can get one on eBay for about $90. My first impression is that it does what I count on from an Adamo. Namely, it does not dig into my perineal area like other saddles. I think that I have a slight preference for my other Adamo saddle, the Breakaway, but it is almost twice the price.

Selle smp is better IMHO

I tested a Adamo and a SMP back to back. The Adamo was good but the SMP was better for me but a little more expensive. I have been on the SMP since 2008 and I am extremely happy with it. However, everyone is different. Try them both.

I tried one on a test program. I did like it and blood flow was good. The problem for me was that it was a bit wide and rubbed my inner thighs. It wasn't bad but it wasn't ideal either. Ended up getting a Cobb. Blood flow is better than my original stock seat for sure but not quite as good as on the Adamo. Still it allows me to ride longer without any discomfort and just getting out of the seat a couple times on long rides is plenty to keep away any numbness for me.

Look for a seat test program at one of your local shops, its the way to go, you just can't pick a seat on looks, you gotta ride it

Unfortunately no :-( We use all 4 saddles on the 4 bikes we have!

I have a selle smp, an adamo road, an adamo peak and a brooks b17 imperial. The brooks is the most comfy but it has a closed nose. I use this on my surly lht with a fairly upright riding position so its not an issue. I find that the adamo peak and the smp are a little more comfortable than the road but they all solve the problem. I would recommend any of these saddles. You are going to have to find the one that fits you best. Keep trying them until you find the one that's right for you. When you finally find the right saddle you will be glad you spent the money.
