Vintage trek
Okay got my twin boys into cycling on comfort bikes and they love it, we're looking for road bikes, found a early nineties trek 1200 in great shape for 200, has rsx components shifters are integrated in brakes, not original I don't think, is this a fair deal or too much, bike looks good and is the right size thanks

It's not unreasonable, as long as it is in decent shape.
FWIW, I have a 1990 Trek 1400 which I have upgraded through the years and still ride today. The ride is comfortable, and more importantly, it fits me.

That's a fair price if it fits you correctly. While it will never be a sought after vintage frame, it's perfect for what you intend to do with it. And kudos for getting your sons into cycling.

I have a 1993 Trek 1200. Its retired, but I keep it because it was a great bike for me. The shifters are aftermarket for sure. Have fun.
