2007 Specialized tarmac Comp with campy groupo's..

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2007 Specialized tarmac Comp with campy groupo's..

Hello guys been a while since I posted here but i have a question, I might be able to trade up my Giant defy 3 2009 for this 2007 Specialized Tarmac Comp with some updated parts like the Campangolo groupo's and carbon stems etc etc.. I'm hoping I don't have to add money but that's highly unlikely, and I'm also hoping that this is a better bike than what I have..Anybody have any experience with a Tarmac? good points and bad points will be helpful for me and lastly how much is a fair amount to add for a trade up..here is the picture of the Tarmac..

I ride a 2011 tarmac and love it but I know they made a lot of changes since the 2007. As far as the Campy components don't get to excited about them. Veloce is Campy cheapest 2x10 Group. It good quality but don't let someone tell you it worth all kinds of money because its not. Veloce compares to something like a 105 or Apex. Just my .02

Even though Veloce is lower end Campy, some people like it better than 105, Ultegra, Apex, and Rival...

While it's nice to buy nice bikes when you have money, some of the fastest riders I know kick my butt on the oldest cheapest bikes. "It's not about the bike." Ride lots and enjoy it!
