Addiction - August 2012 addition

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pro tip. Riding when it is 113 deg with 20mph winds is not healthy.

We lost our breeze this evening. Now that I'm sitting still, I'd like it back please.

For those of us who cycle super fast, it kind of does. I assume that's why I'm not aging as fast as some people do.

How does a 15 year-old have an American record at the Olympics? Female swimming is weird.

My niece is 11 and loves swimming. She was pack fodder until this year. Now she is DFL, if she even gets to race. She mateured a little later, and that is the age when the girls often are faster than the boys. Girls start their peak in swimming around 14-16.

Hey gomer. I'm watching men's volleyball and I'm confused. Their uniforms seem to fit. How do you reconcile that?

Why would you make a simple game so unnecessarily complicated?

Got home from my ride early today due to a broken rear derailleur cable. So, I decided to go ahead and install the third bike tray to my roof rack. Going to be much easier transporting three people and three bikes to races now.
