Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Don't get it. How does a 15 year-old fare against 25 year-olds in running, cycling, basketball, skiing, weightlifting, whatever?

Not very well.

I went back to sleep. Slept in 'til 6:30. Supposed to be 40 C today, bad weather for 300 kilometres of bicycle riding.

I'm gonna go swimming in the river here pretty quick, BRB with Strava results.

Just noticed that the Thunderbirds are flying over in Hillsboro this weekend. That's only about a quarter metric century away...

That Coldplay show @ that Meadowlands hockey box was a revelation. They're not the biggest selling act (albums) over the last decade for nothing. Man they were GREAT live, everybody loved the show, nobody sat for two hours. That was great. Gotta see those guys live again.

That being said the Izod Center there is utter fail on so many levels. They need a new facility. But the sound isn't so bad if you're on the floor (I was 9th row right) or in the lower levels.

Primarily a white jersey today. Was a blue one on Wed. At least today's sting looks better than the other one.
