Addiction - August 2012 addition

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good grief what a facepalm doctors can be.

Hey, at least when they know what's wrong with you they can do something. The problem is when they don't, which is often enough.

Oh well. I'm sure it sucked harder in 1912 than it does today. Maybe in 100 years they'll have a clue about low back/pelvic pain issues.

Probably less like "pieces" and more like a cloud of pink mist. Use to watch the Marines practice with the .50 cal in the Persian Gulf. Awesome.

Are you bicycling yet, methinks your crabbiness reveals some cycling withdrawal or envy, not sure which.

I rode today. This pelvic pain condition sucks, but I think they're correct in this assessment (i.e., we don't think it's your prostate). The longer I contend with the symptoms, the more I'm convinced it's just a further manifestation of the low back/pelvic pain I've dealt with for 12 years. Gotta get into the whole stretching thing on a serious basis. I'm convinced that will work.

I also need a vacation.

But I don't think I'm getting one.
