Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ever single tie rod end, and ball joint must be completely destroyed at that point. I would dare to say a number of electronic features no longer work either.

Jetta SportWagen rocks. If I drove 25k miles/year, I'd get the diesel. As it is, we'll drive much less, so we got the the gas 2.5L.

Anyone have thoughts on Mazda CX-5? I thought the base FWD 6 speed manual looked interesting. It is on my short list of potentials (along with Audi A3 & VW Sportwagen). Or I keep my rapidly rusting Mazda 3S (which is the most likely outcome).

Lester porno shot. If you leave them to their own devices they might procreate. You'd wind up with Les Paul Juniors of course.

I just bought a new set of tires for my decrepit old Saab, so I'm gonna have to keep it for a while longer.

I don't workout. That's something that happens at a gym.

I just ride around on a bike and sometimes run around in the fields near my house.

My friend has a Giant TCR advanced and he says he rides about 700 km a year. He has never changed his chain in the 3 yers he has owned this bike and he wears a Cervelo team jersey and baggy lycra cycling shorts.

Just saying. I don't judge.

Teach your wife to hypermile. Dealing with you, she obviously has patience .

priuses (priui?) are able to actually get 1700 miles per tank! well thats the record. actually, its been awhile since I've done my research, but it was over 110 mpg on the record I saw, hell, I got 50 mpg avg on a tank across texas on my old '08 civic loaded down near its weight limit(850lbs including passengers! try loading 5 average americans into that thing! just kidding, it was a coupe, not possible), should be able to break that regularly with a hybrid!

Really, 60+mpg in a prius isnt hard at all all the monetary savings can go toward your new recumbent!

you mean rotors, pistons, and fluid right? I hate coming to a stop the hearing SQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK! knowing I'm now deaf for a week, yet the driver is oblivious to the fact.

Mazdas are fun - they handle nicely, for the most part, but I haven't driven that particular model (Mazdas are a favorite of ZipCar, I drove them quite a bit in NYC). I don't much care for their styling - little too swoopy for me, but that's personal preference, of course.

My last car was an Audi, but I didn't see much point in the A3 over the SportWagen unless a) you're getting one with Quattro AWD and/or b) you like the trim levels. I REALLY didn't like DSG transmission on the the S-series version - punchy little engine, but it felt like a 16-year-old was operating the clutch; it was more jerky than a BF Social. The VW also seems to have more cargo space, but that could be an illusion.

Great dog. Close to a great pic, but don't cut off his paws next time and level your horizon (it's tough with an ultra-wide angle, but practice at it).

Tacoma tailgate doesn't lock. That's dumb. Not good for bike safety, even with the security system. Pop n Lock ordered. Leer cap goes on Thursday.
