I went to this in Houston over the weekend.
I had the extreme honor/pleasure of meeting/talking
with Don Ferris (Anvil Bikeworks), Richard Sachs (Richard
Sachs), Brian Baylis (Vintage Cycle Studios) and
Sacha White (Vanilla Bicycles) amoung others.
I managed to get about 5 or 6 nice photo's before my
camera went belly up.
Here is one of a headtube by Doug Fattic which is well,
drop dead georgous. I'll post more soon.

Rad, i'm sorry it delayed your progress but it was for a good cause. I got to ride that carbon monster downhill bike around in the parking lot. It rolled over everthing in its path like like a fat man on his way to mcdonalds. There weren't as many companies as i had hoped for, but the quality that some of these guys were showing off makes me want to dump my brand new 5200 for a hand made beauty. Great pics, I was starting to reget not taking my camera now i'll just save yours.
peace,
mike

Not close to me but I have a frame being sold to me. The website only has an email (waiting for reply) and there are a few references outside their web page on the web.
I'm just wondering hw much one should pay for an aluminum frame from a shop like his?

This may be a good place to ask this question. I just picked up a used Vail Cycle Works steel frame. Has anyone heard of this company and/or the quality of the frames they produce?

More links to even more photos.
(Some of these sites are getting alot of use so are slow to load)

Can we please limit this to discussion of the handmade framebuilders show?
please refer any questions about individual builders to a new thead in
this forum.
thanks,
Marty

Vail Cycle Works calls himself the "The Rocky Mountains Artisan Framebuilder". It seems appropriate in a thread about handmade frames. It is not like I am asking about a new Trek 1000.
