chinese Pinarello real or fake?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just curious. Are these counterfit bikes or are they actually Pinarello bikes?

"No worry about the quality of the frames. We only offer the best ones."

That should put your mind at ease, its right there in the ad.

You tell me.

85% discount is pretty good if you can get it, right? You know the saying about if it's too good to be true...

I'm curious: why are Pinarellos so popular to counterfeit? I assume the real ones are nice, but so are many other bikes.

Is it just that the distinctive curves make the fakes look authentic?

It's a copy obviously. A lot of people have purchased similar frames and they've been ok so far. The best one I saw so far had it painted to look like a Pinarello only the labels read 'Chinarello' and 'Dog Poo' instead of Dogma.

My understanding was these were custom painted by the actual owners.

You can actually order the paint job from the Chinese factory. They will let you design the graphics.

If you want a cheap Asian frame, at least buy something that doesn't pretend to be something else and from someone from who has the ability to ensure a reasonable level of quality control and good customer support. For example...
