my saddle bag is sore! looking to upgrade my prologo kappa pas to a fizik model
I'm looking to get a fizik saddle for perhaps the lamest of all reasons - so i can clip a saddle bag into it. then again, attaching my saddle bag has been an annoyance and i'm going through 1/year due to wear and tear due to leg rub.
i have the prologo kappa pas that came with my caad10. I'm happy with it. Any discomfort I have with the saddle tends to coincide with general exhaustion so i suspect that its a good fit for me. but i've never played the field so perhaps i'm missing out on something.
riding - I train following the Time-Crunched Cyclist. (mostly intervals, max three hour rides, about 12 hours a week on the bike) and do local crit racing.
advice?

For the bag try a Leznye micro caddy. There's no way your legs will rub on it, there's no strap around the seatpost and its narrow so its totally underneath the saddle.
There's no way I'd change my saddle because of a bag. Buy the saddle that fits you best, then, totally separately, find a bag you like.

The Prologo Kappa Pas worked fine for me. The Fizik saddle that works for me is the Fizik Antares Versus. The shape is different though, and the padding maybe a tad bit more firm than the Kappa Pas.
Maybe try a different saddlebag as suggested though... The Arundel Dual stays out of the way, and there are plenty of other small saddlebags that might work too.

Hmm, on my bike theres no way for my legs to rub the saddle bag! Do you have it attached to the front of the saddle
? Is your saddle really far back? Or is your saddle bag just really wide? I don't even know the brand of mine. has a red reflective patch on it and a zipper that increases its size. Not helpful? ok, nvm. My main thoughts are a narrower bag, and if your saddle is far back, a seatpost with 0 setback so the bag sits further back. Cant really think of anything else. I honestly have no idea how you can rub your saddle bag. BUT my saddle is slammed forward, and I could use a 0 setback seatpost(20mm setback currently i think)
PS why is it a SADDLE, but we call it a SEATpost. shouldn't it be a saddlepost?
man I'm on a roll today, what is that, 8 posts? I typically lurk!
EDIT TIMBUK2! or some sort. I think thats the saddlebag I have. whether it's make or model, no idea!

+1 on the Arundel Dual. I fit two tubes, two CO2s, two tire levers, the head for the CO2s and a small mini-tool in mine. It's taller than it is wide - no way your legs could rub on it.

I wouldn't have gotten a Fizik saddle just to use the Fizik seatbag, but I did find that I like the Alliante saddle for long rides. I bought the Fizik seatbag, and it's handy, but fragile. One of the bags I bought broke the clip where it attaches to the bag. I've heard this from a lot of other people as well. I'm back to using a very small Specialized bag now. It does use velcro around the seatpost, but there's no rubbing at all.
I only use the Fizik bag in the wintertime, because I lash up a taillight to it. Because it's so easy to switch between the two bikes I have with Fizik saddles, I use that saddlebag when I need to ride at night.
