Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oregon Wine country ride

We did a loop today in the Dundee Hills appelation of the Willamette Valley. Beautiful roads, wonderful weather (70's and Sunny) and great Pinot Noir. Stopped at several wineries, and had lunch in Carlton at a great little restaurant Cuvee. Great rollers for tandem.

As a location to wine tour, and ride, this place has Napa and Sonoma beat hands down. Little traffic, and still a bucolic feel that left Napa years ago.
