Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have read time and time again about this ambassador to the the public that cyclist are supposed to be, something about how all of our actions reflect on how the world sees all cyclists. after some thought I've decided you're all on your own. I never signed up to be a liaison and I don't care if my bad actions make you all look bad. I don't care if you do things that make cyclists look bad, live it up, do what you want. It's not my job to improve the image of cyclists to motorists or anyone else. life is too short to be concerned thinking what motorists might think of me and it's really too short to have cyclists telling me what I need to do. The embassy is closed.

Then don't be surprised if your city, county, or state shows no interest in improving cycling infrastructure.

Good to know, bro. Now go spend more time on your bike, and less on BF.

No one cares about all that crap. Just make sure that the jersey you wear is something that you "earned"

One anonymous whiner on the interwebs will not be able to affect change upon anything.

Cars do all sorts of dangerous **** all day long and no one ever hassles drivers as a whole, why do we get held to such a ridiculously high standard when they do all the damage?

Does your seatpost and stem match?
Have you flipped and slammed?
Have you measured your guads?
Has your carbon fiber assploded?
Have you decided between Campy or Shimano?

Son, you need to cover these basics before you can go worrying about "embassies."
Jesus wept.
