anime themed jersey?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Have you actually seen a good, serious anime, or are you just going on some sort of hype and stories you've heard about weird hentai stuff? My guess is the latter.

No. I have seen anime on occasion as I was changing the channel and it is pretty much crap. I have no idea what hentai is. As far as hype and stories...I have yet to actually speak to someone who has ever mentioned anime. So I don't know of any hype or stories pro or con. I tend to hand around mature adults though who talk about politics, life, science, philosophy, etc... The topic of cartoons doesn't ever come up. Maybe I should hang around more people who live in their parent's basements.

They sure make life easy for pretentious asses who don't have to broaden their horizons that way.

I'm not saying all anime is good. And some of it sure is juvenile and/or weird. But to say all anime is for kids and immature adults is like watching a 15 second clip (or the whole movie for that matter) of something by Michael Bay and saying that all cinema is just a mass of explosions and is for kids and adults with ADHD and there's no possibility of it being used to elevate discourse of topics relevant to the filmmaker.

Laputa, Castle in the Sky.

For those film lovers who aren't familiar with anime and would like a decent, mature base to form some new opinions upon, I would strongly suggest the films of Hayao Miyazaki (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind), Satoshi Kon (Tokyo Godfathers), Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), and Studio Ghibli (anything).

As mentioned before, unlike America, where cartoons are considered 'kid stuff' (though I would strongly recommend anyone who's grown up with Animaniacs to watch it again to find all of the risque jokes you would have missed as a child), in Japan, animation is an art form enjoyed by all ages. While this does make it a grab bag of everything from kiddy shows to porn, one of the benefits is that you'll find some absolutely astounding films with incredible storylines, music, and cinematography disguised as cartoons.

Also, if you haven't looked it up on youtube, go find The Thief and the Cobbler. It hasn't aged well...until you realize that every single frame was hand-drawn.

They talk about important stuff, like watts, Strava scores, which Crabon is the bestest, and how to Dope for Gran Fondos.
And why women don't ride more.
