Need Ellijay GA. road bike route(s):
My family is renting a cabin outside Ellijay GA. and I'm trying to find some short road bike routes in the area, preferably from the front door of the cabin. While I don't have the exact address for the rental property yet, I have been informed that it's off of Flag Pole Rd. Internet research hasn't been particularly helpful, although I have seen a few routes that are within driving distance to our vacation spot. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Often times when I'm looking for a route and can't find anything online, I'll resort to google maps and utilize "street-view" to determine if it's a safe and worthwhile route. Apparently this feature isn't available in the area surrounding Ellijay, most likely due to it's rural mountains. I just don't want to waste time looking for decent roads while I'm there, and I'm trying my best to avoid highly traveled, windy mountain roads. Thanks in advance to all.

Try a post in the Southeast subforum of the Regional Forum. it is up near the top of the main Forums page. You will probably get better responses there and some routes members are familiar with. Have fun riding with the family.
