Thoughts on 2009 Specialized Sequoia Elite
 

Found a 2009 Specialized Sequoia Elite for $500 on cl. what do you guys think of this bike as a starter bike? I've read it has a more relaxed geometry and was built more for century rides? Also that it's pretty heavy?

Yeah, it's a touring/relaxed set-up. 'Elite' would have pretty nice parts.

How many C-List bikes do you want our opinion on? ;)

Aha, I'm sorry.. I'm very indecisive about which road bike to get. I'm still in college so don't have much funds. Just trying to get the best deal possible.

Didn't mean to bust your chops too hard there...but at some point you gotta make your own decision. Look for Tiagra parts (or better) and a carbon fork. The Sequoia is kind of an odd jack-of-all-trades 'road' bike. Could be a decent choice - but fit trumps all.
