Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In no-man's land between the most aggressive riders and the more casual ones, stopping for a photo op at the far end and highest point on last weekend's MS ride.

All these Autumn photos makes me jealous. Living in FL doesn't give you much variety. Our Spring actually looks more like Fall since the dead Oak leaves from Winter fall off as the new leaves come in.

Oh well, this is the closest I could come to looking like Autumn in FL:

Went for a wonderful ride yesterday. It was the maiden voyage for my new build. The 3D+ with 30mm axle and rotor bottom bracket was very impressive. Equally impressive was the Stronglight ceramic chainrings. Good quality stuff.

The ride totaled 1200m elevation gain in a short 60km.

Great pics on this thread. Many of them oddly calming during a hectic day.

Here's my contribution. This morning, Utah, Wasatch Front, east bench. As I said in the "empty road" thread, if you're going to suffer, you might as well look at stuff like this while you do it.
