First century.
I did the MS ride from Cherry Hill to Ocean City, NJ on 9/29. Four of us decided to ride back the same day, so it ended up being a 141 mile ride. My previous longest ride was 75 miles, so it was nice to finally break the 100 mile mark.
We had a couple of 10-minute stops on the way down, stayed in Ocean City for 45 minutes to eat some pizza and then headed back. We stopped for 15 mins at the 100 mile mark on the way home.
I had set my Garmin to display only current speed and distance on the first screen, so the 20.1 mph average speed was almost an accident. One of us noticed that we were over the 20mph average coming up to 100 miles, so I made sure to keep the speed up until we hit the century mark. One of our guys was having foot pain and couldn't push too hard, so the rolling speed dropped slowly to 19mph. As we arrived back in Cherry Hill with two miles to go, two of us floored it to make sure we didn't drop below the 20 average
I felt good after the ride, and went out again the next day. I didn't push too hard, stayed hydrated and ate enough to keep me going. I love cycling!
Here's a link to the ride stats (cadence was screwy...not sure why) https://app.strava.com/rides/23503231

Nicely done. I'd like to get to a 20mph average - maybe next summer I'll be able to do that. This year - not there yet.
