Recommendation for trunk bike rack

Any advice among these models or do you suggest others? I have a Ford Fiesta 2011 Hatchback.

A friend has a Saris Bones 3 (basically the same as the one you posted but has capacity for 3 bikes, but he only uses it with 2) and it's really quick to get on and off, very adjustable and holds the bike very well. Never heard him say anything negative about it.

Saris Bones.
And don't ever forget to stow it in the trunk before you go for a ride. Those things get ripped off very easily and quite often.

Saris Bones RS. Much easier to use than the other Saris Bones racks because it has no nylon straps.

I'm a total noob but I really quite like my Hollywood rack, cost only about 100 bucks:

Never owned another one before, so take that into account!

Regarding someone ripping off a bike rack, I've only been using this for a few weeks, but just the other day I came back to my car and the alarm had been triggered (in a pretty busy parking area too no less)--I have to assume someone was messing with the rack and couldn't get it off quickly. Now I stow it in the trunk for sure. Collapses very easily.

I got the Yakima King Joe Pro, much better quality and construction than any of those mentioned above, for just few bucks more.:thumb:

Of the four you listed, go with the Saris. But get the 3-bike version. Even though I use mine on a 2-seat Miata having the extra position has helped getting some pairs of bikes on easier.

go Cheap......mine is an allen Under $100.
why bother going high end trunk mount?
I also have a yakima roof but what ever is easy and cheap is good.

saris bones, and if you have more to spend, the new thule one that looks like a hitch rack http://www.thule.com/en-US/US/Produc...latform-2-Bike

I have a Bones 3 Bike Trunk Rack which I really don't use myself but loan it a lot but works great for a number of cars picked it up at a year sale for $25 like new owner said they used it 2 times.

I have a Saris Bones 3. It works pretty well, but I think I'll be getting the Bones RS at some point, it looks like a big improvement. Pricey for a trunk rack, but that's not the end of the world - it's cheaper than a roof rack, and you don't get nearly as bad a mileage hit. But the more basic Bones racks also work well and are definitely less expensive, so they're a good option if you don't want to spend $300 on a rack.
