Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It is a love/hate relationship with me....I have a Merek Carbon Saddle and find that for short rides (<50 miles) I really love it, but once I go over that, I begin to move around the saddle more than one should.

I have the Merek F-pro road saddle. I can sit on it forever...double centuries are no problem.

Love mine, have had no problems. It's funny how they can be comfortable.I have two bikes, one with carbon, one without.I prefer the carbon now.Padded saddles don't feel right after riding the carbon.I do ride out of the saddle a lot though, and when I'm in the saddle I don't have as much weight as others do on the saddle,so it may be different for others.

I am also a convert.

I use the Merek 95g saddle. My only minor gripe is that the back edges are a little sharp and sometimes pull at my shorts/bibs.

But saddles are highly personal, so what's comfy for one person is an ass-hatchet for another.

I suggest you try it...and if you don't like it, flip it on eBay.

Can anyone suggest one that might fit a Fizik Antares user? I've wanted to try one, but they all looked narrow and/or peaked which isn't my thing. I don't need the lightest one either, more interested in trying a bare saddle (no padding).

I have one of those hanging in my garage. Wasn't terrible, but not as comfy as my regular seat.
