Buying larger frame and looking at Scattante XRL Comp. Suggestions?

http://www.performancebike.com/bikes...rue&quantity=1 This set is $289, plus I have around $100 in Performance points so that brings it to $189 for me. If you know of any bang for buck frames, let me know before I buy this guy. By the way, I'm buying a larger frame because my current road bike is a 56cm Fuji Roubaix 1.0 which I found to be too small. I'm hoping I can just take all of the parts from my current bike and swap them onto a new frame. The only thing that I'm unsure about is the BB, but I'll give PB a call tomorrow to see if they can help me out. (It's one of those FSA Gossamers I believe.) This geometry works for me as I have long legs (36'' inseam) with a relatively short torso, so geometry of the frame is also of importance. Thanks! edit: BB of current bike: FSA Mega EXO, external. I believe it will fit, so I won't have to buy anything but the frameset. *fingers crossed* |
The BB is a 68mm English. It will work with your BB.

solid for the money.
does it come with the seatpost and headset? |
Not bad. Look at the Nashbar Al frame, it's only $69 and has similar geometry....but does not include fork.

It's a solid frame, I had one a few years ago as a bike I kept in my office. Very responsive ride and nice handling... the ride is on the firm side and the fork is handles well. Nice paint job also... normally comes with the headset

The Nashbar has even better geometry for me. 60cm with a 56.5cm TT is spot on.

Should be my last post until I build this thing, but how awesome is it that Nashbar has a 20% off coupon for orders of $75 or more? That gets me this frame for $97.99 shipped! I'll hook you guys up with pics of the build when it's done. Thanks to everyone for the input. You saved me almost $200 and got me a better fitting frame!
