it's nice that i can ride in the noon time and weather is still good.

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

got 30 miles.

wind was strong today but i'd rather ride in a windy day than the summer heat. south bound, getting to 30mph required very little effort. of course, going home north bound was a lot tougher with all the headwind and it was also uphill and a small hill that is 12% grade.

took a quick break for pic at the park...

Is this a noontime break from work? I can generally ride for 90+ minutes at lunch since I work out of my house.

I need to get up early to get a ride in. Resolve is tested 3 times: 1. When your alarm wakes you 2. When your feet hit the cold floor tiles. 3. When you look out the window and see it is dark, cold and windy. Looks like you have found a better solution. Should rethink my schedule.

Nice picture.

I too have fond memories of riding out from the West SFV to Balboa Park and back!

Good stuff! I got out for a ride yesterday too while the getting's still good. I have a feeling there aren't going to be many short sleeve days left this year.

they have new bike path along canoga now too that connects to the one in victory.

i take devonshire all the way to the orange line then get on the canoga bike path to victory that ends in balboa park. after that, i climb up woodley and that's where the small 12% hill that i always wanna climb (i like it bec it's steep but not very long). this route gives me 30 miles of mostly bike paths and bike lanes.
