Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

What happened? I remember the Addict overshadowed the Cervelo when you got it. How did you fall out of love for the machine that climbs like a rocket?

Nothing climbs like a rocket when you're as fat as I am these days.

Besides the Cervelo has the Di2 and the Powertap. I probably ride the Cervelo half the time and then split the rest of the riding up between the P2 (TT bike) and the Addict.

It would be easy to get a cheap laugh about the irony of an ahole keeping an ahole from riding, or about an increase in IQ along with the ability to ride but I'm old and brittle and know the frustration that comes from thinking "you traitorous SOB" about a body part.

Hope it keeps going in the right direction.

Pcad,
Do you have a particular race or ride planned as your return special? Sounds like the fitness is returning as you ride pretty well. How is the Mt. Doom climb now?

Do you use anything like Goldencheetah to track your efforts long term? No powertap
on my track bike and I can't estimate my efforts so I feel like I'm losing out when
on the track bike no matter how sweet it is to ride.
