Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anybody from Chile???

I'll be traveling to Chile with my bike next month and I'll be looking for riding partners.

Or maybe you know active clubs down there, or bike shops where I could inform myself.

Thanks a ton!

No, but now that you mentioned it, I could use a good bowl of chili!

Hey man,

I'm from Chile. I live in santiago. There are tons of incredible places to ride over here. Next week I'll be racing the "vuelta lider", a UCI 2.2 stage race.

I can include you in several riding groups and guide you around anything cycling or not cycling related over here and other places of Chile.

Greetings,

Robinson

I was in Chile a few years ago - flew into Santiago and then to Copiapo. I was surprized to see so many local club riders out on Sundays.

Thanks Robinson!

Sorry for my late reply. Your proposal sounds awesome!!!

I'll be riding from March 6th to March 15th.

In fact, I'll be staying in Viña del Mar. I understand this is some distance from Santiago where most riders probably meet. Do you think there are any groups meeting in Viña del Mar?

For me, it's going to be early training (I will have no more than 500 km in my legs), so any average speed club ride will do.

For sure I'll go check out the Vuelta!

Thanks for any help!

Hey Robinson!

How did the race go? I'll be arriving in Chile next Sunday. I hope to hear from you soon!
